A flexible shaft power woodcarving machine consisting of an electric motor which drives a handpiece by means of a protected shaft enclosed in a sheath. A control provides continuously variable speed. The selection of handpieces, each of which can easily be connected to the flexible shaft, together with the wide variety of accessories, allows you to grind, carve, drill, sand, deburr, engrave, polish, rout, and brush with ease, speed and precision. The tools are made to industrial standards to assure top performance and long life.

FOREDOM NEW 2" ANGLE GRINDER WITH NO. 30 HANDPIECE

Foredom's New Angle Grinder attachment is designed for use with our most popular H.30 Chuck-Style Handpiece. This quality-machined, sturdy, and compact device works with 2" and smaller discs and 2" wheels with 3/8" arbor holes. We offer 100+ accessories for this versatile product that can be used to grind, sand, and polish on various types of materials including metal, wood, stone, glass, ceramics, bondo and more.

Components:
1. Series SR Motor:
Foredom's most popular and best motor for general use. The 1/6 hp, ball bearing, hang-up style M.SR runs in forward and reverse at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. It offers substantially more power than any of our older universal motors - 66% more than Series CC and 33% more than Series S and old SR motors. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, and our standard 39" long key-tip inner shaft and outer sheath for connecting to any of Foredom’s 19 interchangeable handpieces.

2. C.FCT Speed Control:
Foredom's most popular foot operated speed control. It has solid state electronics and comes in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide design.
3. H.44T Handpiece:
This collet style handpiece is popular among woodcarvers as it accommodates larger accessories with shank diameters up to 1/4". It comes with 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" collets. The tapered design allows for close and safe work. The H.44T is a member of the Foredom system of interchangeable handpieces.

4. AKWK53 Accessory Kit:
26 pc. assortment with 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" shank accessories. It includes many unique items from Foredom- ScotchBrite Radial Bristle Discs, Purple Ceramic Sanding Bands and Discs, Typhoon Burs, V Stones, CeramCut Blue Stones, and more.

FOREDOM MICRO MOTOR

This 1070 Micro Motor kit is ideal for high speed applications up to 38,000 rpm, for fine detailing your carvings. The control unit has switches on the front for On/Off Power, Forward or Reverse Rotation, and Manual or Foot Speed Control. An overload Protector Light is also featured that turns red and sound a beeping alarm when the motor stalls. Bur changes are quick and easy with a simple twist of the front section of the Handpiece.

HANDPIECES

All Foredom handpieces are interchangeable. Note No.44 is the only handpiece that will accept a 1/4" shank tools. The 1/8" and 3/32" shanks can easily be used by just changing collets. We suggest this one if you want to remove a lot of waste wood quickly. The 1/4" shank Kutzall on page 6 work very well for doing this.

No. 28 Handpiece New!

Lightweight, smooth-running ball bearing handpiece with slim, tapered grip that is only 1/2" thick! Ideal for intricate detail work as well as general grinding, polishing, deburing, and carving. Slim design for comfortable finger tip control. Excellent, economical, general purpose handpiece. Pre-lubricated ball bearings require no maintenance. The No. 28 comes with 3/32" and 1/8" collets.

Foredom's New Reciprocating Handpiece

Foredom's new chisel handpiece gives a power assist to carving projects in all types of wood, plastic and plaster. Similar in appearance to the popular 44T, this handpiece has a contoured body design that features a rugged plastic barrel and tapered aluminum ends. The easy to maintain chisel handpiece is recommended for use with the 1/3 HP Series TX or 1/6 HP Series SR motors, and attaches to any flex shaft machine with a standard key tip shaft. The Chisel Handpiece must be used only in the forward motor direction.
Optimum Speed Range- 3,000-10,000 rpm.
Max. Operating Speed- 18,000 rpm.

The MAMH-1 features a 3-piece hexagonal support rod, top safety hook rod for holding one or two motors and the MABC-1 for attaching to any bench top up to 2-1/4" thick. The rod height can be adjusted with the locking screw built onto the clamp. Comes with a MAMR-2 Handpiece Rest that slides onto the hanger pole and secures your handpieces when not in use. Also has two UA10658 Spring Safety Clips that slide over the motor bale and on to the hanger rod to keep the motor(s) from jumping and twisting during start up and acceleration.
