Micro Motor

A flexible shaft power woodcarving machine A flexible shaft power woodcarving machine consisting of an electric motor which drives a handpiece by means of a protected shaft enclosed in a sheath. A control provides continuously variable speed.  The selection of handpieces, each of which can easily be connected to the flexible shaft, together with the wide variety of accessories, allows you to grind, carve, drill, sand, deburr, engrave, polish, rout, and brush with ease, speed and precision. The tools are made to industrial standards to assure top performance and long life.
Note: The No.44T  is the only handpiece that will accept 1/4" shank tools. The 1/8" and 3/32" shanks tools can easily be used by changing collets.

FOREDOM Reversible MOTOR  ALL NEW SR Woodcarving Kit 5240
The ALL NEW Reversible woodcarving series "SR" has a 1/6 horsepower motor that runs in both standard and reverse rotation. This reversible feature is especially useful in woodcarving applications where symmetrically textured results are difficult to obtain with standard techniques or where wood grain poses a problem. Left-handed carvers will also benefit from having more versatility and ease of use.
The kit contains these main components:

All new SR Motor - Foredom's new 1/6 hp, ball bearing, hang-up style motor with speed up to 18,000 rpm. This motor offers substantially more power than any of Foredom's other universal motors - 66% more than Series CC and 33% more than Series S and old SR motors. The All new SR operates in forward and reverse rotation for added versatility.

FCT Control - this foot operated speed control has solid state electronics and comes in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide design.

No. 44T Handpiece. This collet style handpiece is popular among woodcarvers since it accommodates larger accessories with shank diameters up to 1/4". It comes with 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" collets. The tapered design allows for close and safe work. The No. 44T is a member of the Foredom system of interchangeable handpieces.

This 1070 Micro Motor kit is ideal for high speed applications up to 45,000 rpm, for fine detailing your carvings. The control unit has switches on the front for On/Off Power, Forward or Reverse Rotation, and Manual or Foot Speed Control.  An overload Protector Light is also featured that turns red and sound a beeping  alarm when the motor stalls.  Bur changes are quick and easy with a simple twist of the front section of the Handpiece.

All Foredom handpieces are interchangeable. Note No.44 is the only handpiece that will accept a 1/4" shank tools. The 1/8" and 3/32" shanks can easily be used by just changing collets. We suggest this one if you want to remove a lot of waste wood quickly. The 1/4" shank Kutzall on page 6 work very well for doing this.

All Foredom handpieces are interchangeable.

Foredom's New Reciprocating Handpiece

 

Foredom's new chisel handpiece gives a power assist to carving projects in all types of wood, plastic and plaster. Similar in appearance to the popular 44T, this handpiece has a contoured body design that features a rugged plastic barrel and tapered aluminum ends. The easy to maintain chisel handpiece is recommended for use with the 1/3 HP Series TX or 1/6 HP Series SR motors, and attaches to any flex shaft machine with a standard key tip shaft. The Chisel Handpiece must be used only in the forward motor direction.
Optimum Speed Range- 3,000-10,000 rpm.
Max. Operating Speed- 18,000 rpm.
